Payments

Payments should be done through Ecocash, Swipe or bank deposits The Nurses Council of Zimbabwe revenue comes from the funds collected from nurses/midwives.Fees are described briefly below:

Registration Fees

Registration fees are paid once a nurse graduates from nursing school. Within 30 Days of passing final examinations, a nurse is required to register with the Council.

For post-basic qualifications obtained later, nurses must also register and pay within 30 Days of qualification. Fees depend on the nursing category.

Change of Name

To affect a formal change of name in the system, a nurse must present all necessary legal documentation (e.g., a marriage certificate for married female nurses) and clear the stipulated change of name processing fee.

Provisional Registration

This path applies to internationally trained nurses intending to practice in Zimbabwe. The required processing fee must be successfully paid before the application form can be submitted.

Applicants are placed on the provisional register for 3 Years before transition to the main register.

Zimbabweans Working Abroad

All Zimbabwean-trained nurses and midwives currently practicing outside the borders of Zimbabwe are required to maintain an active status on the main registry by consistently settling their annual fees.

Registration of Health Institutions

An institution can only be registered under a nurse who is in good standing, possesses relevant post-basic qualifications, and tracks over 5+ Years Experience in that specific discipline. The application fee is due upon submission.

Inspection of Health Institutions

Active facilities or upcoming training centers must undergo visual inspection when seeking new registration or expanding services. The designated inspection payment must accompany the formal application form.

Certificate of Good Standing (CGS)

Nurses intending to practice abroad can apply for a CGS. Outstanding cases of misconduct will be declared on the paper.

⚠️ Note: Certificates of Good Standing are dispatched securely and directly to the requesting international regulatory body; they are never issued to individual nurses.

Re-registration Fees

Re-registration penalties are compulsorily levied on any practitioner or midwife who fails to clear their mandatory annual subscription fees by the stipulated structural expiration deadlines.
